MIDDLETOWN, PA (October 29, 2018) – Harrisburg Christian Performing Arts Center will be all shook up this February with the music of Elvis Presley and we are looking for dozens of performers to ROCK THE HOUSE!

Open auditions for performers 5th grade thru adult for the Broadway hit All Shook Up will be November 29 at 6:30PM, December 1 at 9:30AM and December 3 at 6:30PM. Performers should plan on attending one of the three audition dates where they will act, sing and dance to scenes from the show. There is no need to prepare anything for the audition. Everyone that auditions will be cast in the show. For more information on our audition process visit www.thehcpac.org. Performances are February 15-17, 2019.

Inspired by and featuring the songs of Elvis Presley, All Shook Up is set in 1955, in a square little town in a square little state. In rides a guitar-playing young man who changes everything and everyone he meets in this hip-swiveling, lip-curling musical fantasy that’ll have you jumpin’ out of your blue suede shoes with such classics as “Heartbreak Hotel,” “Jailhouse Rock,” and “Don’t Be Cruel.”

HCPAC is thrilled to welcome Laurie Miller Petersen who will be guiding the cast for this production. In addition to director, Laurie is an actress, dancer, fight director, stunt woman (As the World Turns, Guiding Light), and graduate of Northwestern University’s theatre program. She has directed and choreographed throughout the region, specializing in children’s theater and creative drama. She has been the resident choreographer at Annville-Cleona High School for the past 7 years, and has fight directed for different schools and theaters as well. Laurie founded the Theatre in the Gardens camp at the Hershey Gardens and teaches at the Hershey Area Playhouse Theatre Academy and Palmyra Academy of Dance.
