HCPAC Derby

We are excited to host our very first family-friendly HCPAC Derby Night! HCPAC Derby Nights are audience-participation, Dancing With OUR Stars (DWOS) Fundraisinq events, where actual races are shown to the audience to recreate the atmosphere of being at the race track. Our racing kit will be supplied by A Nite at the Races. The HCPAC Derby will not be used for illegal gambling. Only HPAC Funny Money will be accepted at the event to bet on horses, make purchases and enter raffle drawings.

Horse/Jockey Purchase Form

Here’s how it works:

  1. Pre-purchased tickets are $25 per adult and $7 per student. Tickets can be purchased here. Each adult ticket holder will receive $15 in Funny Money and a ticket for one Mocktail Drink. Student ticket holders will receive $5 in Funny Money and a ticket for one Soft Drink. Additional Funny Money will be available for purchase.
  2. Individuals, organizations and businesses may “purchase” a race horse for $15. Purchase form is at the bottom of this page. In exchange they get to name the horse & jockey and their name/business or organization is named in the race program as the owner. The owner of the winning horse & jockey for each race will receive 2 tickets to the Dancing with OUR Stars event in the Spring 2024.
  3. HCPAC participants and their families are invited to “shout out” their favorite student, cast, volunteer, or production team members! Shout Outs costs $10 each, are available in the form at the bottom of this page and will run on our video screen throughout the evening between races. Shout Outs can include a picture, a verse, a quote or an encouraging word. All Shout Outs will also be posted on the HCPAC Facebook Page following the Derby.
  4. Guests will receive a race program when they arrive at the event. Using their funny money they may place “bets” on any horse they chose. Winning ticket holders will proceed to the cashier to collect their Funny Money winnings.
  5. Throughout the evening guests will also have the opportunity to use their Funny Money to purchase concession snacks & drinks and raffle basket tickets.

Ladies and gents are invited to enter the Derby Hat Contest. Prizes will be awarded in the following categories: most outrageous, best children’s/teen, most glamorous, best racing theme and best men’s hat.
